Since 1987, the Parkinson Study
Group (PSG) and Movement Disorders Society (MDS) have co-sponsored
an annual symposia on Etiology, Pathogenesis and Treatment
of Parkinson's Disease and Other Movement Disorders,
preceding the annual meeting of the American Neurological Association.
These annual symposia consist of peer-reviewed platform and poster
presentations designed to communicate recent research advances
in the fields of Parkinson's
disease and other movement disorders to professionals in neurology
and related disciplines.
On Sunday, September 21, 2008, the HSG,
in cooperation
with the Movement Disorders Society (MDS), Parkinson Study Group (PSG),
Dystonia Study Group (DSG), Myoclonus Study Group (MSG), Tourette's
Syndrome Study Group (TSSG), Tremor Research Group and the Cooperative
Ataxia Group (CAG) will organize the Twenty First Annual Symposium
on the Etiology,
Pathogenesis and Treatment of Parkinson's Disease and Other Movement
Disorders which is taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Grand America Hotel. Abstracts of platform and poster presentations
for this will be published in the September 2008 issue of Movement
Disorders.
